Week 18: Hungry Like the Wolf!!
We're at the end of the regular season... only four betting weeks left This week we can only choose from 6 NFL and 2 college games. After losing ERV this week we have 51 out of our original 81 making it to the playoffs. Leader Arctic Wolves went 3-1 but bet the minimum after his orgy of betting the last month. The top three remained static and he holds the lead after Retired INC lost 2 grand but stayed in 2nd. Show Me the Money lost 5 grand but remains in 3rd.

Honky Tonkers two stepped to the weekly win, taking $67,900, followed close behind by sammygig's plus 65 grand. nd falling out. Arby's won 43 grand, Sneaky Leafs $28,900 and Bert took 12 grand. Sneaky Leafs and Barbarians both rose 11 spots. We only picked at 48.6% but the money was on the right ones... we made 28 grand collectively. GMoney101 has been near the top all year but the Not Redskins let him down, leading to a biggest drop of 63,900 and 39 spot dive. Mag$2Riche$ and Rat Frackers both gave back 40 grand. Lucky Lee must have crossed a black cat and fell $22,100 and 28 spots. Easy Pickens played like the Steeler's receiver, losing 22 grand. Charlie Hustle rose up last week only to fall back down 19 grand this week.

Week 16: Merry Christmas!!
With the Christmas games this starts early so I'll keep it short. Leader Show Me the Money went 4-0, won 40 grand and held 1st. Rat Frackers took 35 grand to move up one spot to 2nd. Arctic Wolves won the week at plus $49,600 to jump 4 spots to 3rd.

Even with one game pushed, we won $119,500. Honky Tonkers won $33,000, Goodypicks 15 grand, Arby's 14 grand, Bert 10 grand, Charlie Hustle $9,300 and Brooklyn76 $8,400.. Loses weren't as bad but GMoney101 fell 39 grand and 9 spots, sammygig lost 25 grand and The Swines 11 grand. No one else lost more than $6,200. Stella's Squad went out with a whimper, not entering picks and falling out. See ya in 2025.

This week starts with Wednesday games, next week will start with the Tuesday NCAA game so schedules are mixed up. Just 6 weeks until the Super Bowl and the end with 53 alive. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!!
Week 15: Show Time!!
Since grabbing first in week 11, Show Me the Money held the lead three times in a row while Retired INC followed right behind. They switched places last week but after winning the week at plus 32,000, he regained 1st. Retired INC dropped back to 2nd after losing 200. Rat Frackers makes his first appearance in a money position, taking 15 grand.
We got back in the black by over 78 grand despite a modest 53% pick rate. The biggest mover of the week went the wrong way as HitMe’s 50 grand on Carolina proved to be a back breaker. Losing $49,700 he plunged from 5th to 43rd. Arby’s 7 grand, 6 spot drop and Mag$2Riche$ at -5,000 and 3 spots were the only others to lose over 4 grand. Big winners were much more common. Sammygig took $22,500, GMoney101 a cool 20 grand and Arctic Wolves howled up 14 grand. They each gained 3 spots. Sammygig was a perfect 4-0 and was joined by Calvin Ridley, Finnybaby, Yup and 20 Year Warm Ups. Easy Pickens found the betting easy, up 10 spots after a plus 9 grand slate. Karol jumped the most, ahead 14 spots after taking $8,500. Two time leader T2tuff’s roller coaster season ended in week 15 as he fell out with a nice 61.54%. Do Cool Shit had an unfortunate 0-4 slate and also dropped. Hope you had fun… see you next year.
The next few weeks present scheduling issues. This week I’m including the NCAA playoffs and there’s no byes so there are a bunch of games to choose. Next week has two Christmas games on Wednesday, so I’ll get the lines out early. If anyone has questions, just email me.

Week 14: A Little Six Week Vacation from Retirement!?!
Retired INC took a little break from the pool lead but regained it in week 14. Putting 50 grand on the Steelers allowed him to survive losing all three other picks for a plus 23 grand week to become the second to cross 100 grand and hold the lead for the third time (first since week 8). Show Me the Money dropped $7,500 but fell only to 2nd. Mag$2Riche$ took a grand and held 3rd.
We had our first push in quite a while when the Dolphins beat the Jets by 6 in OT. Again it counts as no bet. Didn’t hurt Goodypicks who won big on the Ducks to win the week, moving up 9 spots after winning $25,900. HitMe was close behind, taking $25,100 and 8 spots. Arctic Wolves moved up from 20th to 10th with his plus 17 grand. Sammygig jumped 12 grand and The Swines squealed ahead $9,500
We had our worst pick rate in a while at just under 42% and lost 33 grand. We had only two slates without a loss (Charlie Hustle 3-0 and LoadToad 4-0) compared to 8 winless bet slates. Must have been last call because Honky Tonkers gakked up 25 grand when the Eagles didn’t soar. Stella’s Squad dropped 20 grand and 31 big spots. Two time leader T2tuff took a header in week 11 falling from 1st to under 5 grand. Working his way back each week since, he was poised to crack the top 15 but Buffalo failed to circle the wagons leading to a $16,200 30 spots loss. Fourth and Bowl and GMoney101 fell 13 grand and Deppsters gave back 10 grand. After a brief hiatus from losing people, three more fell out. Dan Snyder’s Dirty Socks, Snooze’s Spartans and Dippy Eggs N Toast had percentages from 65.31% to 53.85% but find themselves knocked out. Actually, Dirty Dan is 5th in pick percentage right now. Better betting next year!!

Week 13: Whatever Happened to Cuba Gooding Jr?!?!
With Show Me the Money gaining 10 grand and holding 1st for the 3rd straight week it makes me think of that movie. Cuba was the biggest thing going for a while but he seems to have just vanished… weird! Anyway we got back to it, picking at 64% and winning almost 135 grand. Retired INC went 4-0 but bet the minimum… he still held 2nd. Mag$2Riche$ won the week at plus 25 grand to move up two spots to 3rd. Rat Frackers and Deppsters both made a cool 20 grand. Sammygig about doubled, winning 16 grand. HitMe was 100 ahead of Arctic Wolves at $10,100.
For the first time in 6 weeks, no one was eliminated. Like his namesake, OHIO STATE took it on the chin, losing 10 grand. His loss was equaled by Barbarians and Sneaky Leafs. KickA$$ at minus $6,700 was the only one to lose more than 5 grand.

Week 12: Had To End Sometime!
After three straight winning weeks, big money weeks, it came to an end. We couldn’t overcome losing $109,000 on the first game when Pittsburgh failed to get over the Raven win hangover and sucked. When we fell for the Not Redskin lovefest (or was it the anti-Cowboy vote?) and lost another 94 grand our fate was sealed. We picked at over 57% but seemed to lose almost all of our big best and lost just short of $77,400.
The top two didn’t have a successful time but held their spots. Leader Show Me the Money gave back 20 grand and Retired INC ended up even. GMoney101 went 4-0, won 10 grand and grabbed 3rd. Honkey Tonkers made like a hero… or maybe an angel to win the week at plus 24 grand and jump 7 spots to 4th. He won big on GB, as did BubbaBears, taking 16 grand. Bert made 11 grand and Stella’s Squad 10 grand. Fourth and Bowl, Goodypicks and Arby’s all made 9 grand.
Despite the money made, as mentioned, we lost for the week. Kick A$$ picked the wrong time to go 0-4, since he bet 60 of his 70 grand. Dan Snyder’s Dirty Socks acted kinda like his namesake and blew $44,500. HitMe fell $29,700, Deppsters dropped 15 grand, Sneaky Leafs lost $12,500 and Punxsy Hogs fell into a $10,500 hole. In fact, Hogs went 0-4 and dropped to zero. He was joined by Big Red1 and Rock Run Rumblers making it the second week in a row with 3 falling out.

Show Me the Money has been a loyal participant in this pool for years. He’s had some success but not much for the last few years. This season he doubled up in week 8 and gained another 30 grand combined in weeks 9 and 10. This week he pulled in 40 grand to win the week, become the first to cross 100 grand and grab control of the pool. Two time leader Retired Inc took $38,600 to jump 4 spots to 2nd. 3 time leader KickA$$ righted the ship again, going 4-0, winning 20 grand and moving to 3rd.
We’ve had an amazing year and kept it going this week, picking at 60.6% and winning $114,550. That pushes us to an incredible 56.3% for the season and plus just over 366 grand at the half way point. We won big on PHI, LAR, DET and HOU. HitMe won $19,900 and 5 spots, Mag$2Riche$ 13 grand and 4-0, Sneaky Leafs $10,500 and Bert $9,400 to gain 10 spots. Eight others took 4 grand or more.
T2Tuff was the pool leader the last two weeks but made a massive mistake… picking against the Stillers and putting 60 grand on the purple posers. Losing $60,500 he fell from first to 52nd! Rock Run Rumblers dropped $7,600 and Snooze’s Spartans, Karol and Dan Snyder all lost $5,500. No one else even lost 4 grand but we had 3 more fall out. Better luck next year Mulligan, Just Jim and Smoker.

Week 11: Money Shown!!!
Week 10: Just Barely Eked It Out!
The Vikings have been one of the best teams, the Jags one of the worst. Once Trevor Lawrence was ruled out almost everyone had the same idea and we bet MIN to the tune of 126 grand. Scoring no touchdowns wasn’t part of the plan but a late FG pushed them ahead of the spread, saving our week… we made just over 41 grand. T2tuff lost $1,900 but held onto 1st with a much smaller lead. Show Me the Money hit a big bet again, making $20,400 and moving 2 spots to 2nd. He didn’t win the week since GMoney101 took $29,600 and jumped 6 spots to 3rd.
Three time pool leader KickA$$ rebounded, gaining 17 grand. Honky Tonkers joined the party, taking 15 grand with a perfect week and two stepped 14 spots. Dan Snyder and Rat Frackers both won 10 grand and chargog grabbed 8 grand. On the flip side the up and down Falcons bit Mulligan leading to a minus 22 grand week with a 52 spot dive. ERV is the last in the family alive but tumbled $16,800. Deppsters fell 15 grand and HitMe fell $10,100. Arctic Wolves stumbled down 8 grand. We also lost two more as Sweet Little Sister and Prez0717 dropped out.
Almost halfway home with 65 left alive and 12 weeks left. Let’s keep the winning streak going in week 11!
Week 9: I Guess Betting isn’t 2 Tuff!
Before we look at week 9, just a thought. No matter which side of the election you’re on (the right side or the wrong), we should all be able to agree on one thing. Thank God its over!! No more horrible commercials, no more text messages… wshew!
I know at least one person who should be happy… T2tuff! After going 4-0, including a ballsy bet on the Rams that lasted to OT, he made a crazy $31,500 to jump to 1st and grab the pick percentage lead. Actually, I don’t remember this happening before but 1-2-3 in pick percent are 1-2-3 in the pool. Deppsters made 9 grand and held 2nd while Dan Snyder took 7 and held 3rd.
We had another stellar slate, winning $140,900 with 63% correct. Mulligan didn’t need one, taking 14 grand. MagS2Riche$ won 12 grand and both Gmoney101 and KickA$$ took a cool 10 grand. HitMe jumped $9,600, Show Me the Money $9,300 and Rat Frackers 9 grand.
Only 17 bettors lost money with just Sweet Little Sister pulling a Kamala, losing $22,300 and 58 spots. At least she’s still in the race. Goodbye to Mr. Goodbar and Frenchie Lover… better luck next year! Dippy Eggs N Toast got boiled, dropping $4,900; Rock Run Rumblers stalled to the tune of $3,500 and 20 Year Warm Ups fell $3,350. No one else lost more than 3 grand.

Week 8: Static Top Two
Retired INC and Deppsters both took 2 grand to hold onto 1st and 2nd. Dan Snyder’s Dirty Socks won $2,500 to move from 5th to 3rd. In a week we picked at 51.12% we were unfortunately fascinated with 3 teams. We bet big on MIN, BAL and GB, losing just under $154,000 leading to a total negative $67,3000 for the week. Show Me the Money went 1-3 but put the max on the Lions, taking $15,700 to win the week and climb 11 spots. GMoney101 and Fourth and Bowl took 7 grand and HitMe and the Swines won $4,900.
After a week off from losing anyone, two dropped out big. Shermanator fell $14,800 and Balls Out $12,900 to fall from the pool. Smoker dropped the most- 51 spots and $16,850. KickA$$ and Mulligan both gave back 12 grand, Prez0718 fell $9,900, Lil Papi 8 grand and Arctic Wolves and Rat Frackers lost 7 grand.

Week 7: Retirement Must Be the Answer!!
This betting thing is too easy!! We almost matched last week's break thru, picking at 64% and clearing over 126 grand. The questionable quarterback change for the Steelers paid off in a big way as Retired INC let it ride on Russ. He won the week taking $19,200 to jump 5 spots becoming the 4th person to lead the pool. Deppsters had his second straight 4-0 week, winning 12 grand and held onto 2nd while last week’s leader KickA$$ ended up even to fall to 3rd.
The week was so successful we had no one drop out for the first time since week one. Winners outnumbered losers two to one… 42 to 21. T2tuff practically doubled, gaining $17,100 and 6 spots. Dan Snyder’s Dirty Socks and Mulligan both took 11 grand, Sweet Little Sister and Shermanator almost doubled, up 10 grand and $7,400. HitMe took $5,100 and Rock Run Rumblers won 5 grand. Nobody was too far in the red. Lil Papi dropped 5 grand, SML Shark gave back 4 grand and sammygig gave back $3,600. No one else fell as much as 3 grand.

Week 6: Kicking Ass and Taking Names!!
What an insane week 6! We picked at 70% and made just over$130,000... winners outnumbered losers 53 to 12. Winning the week was last week's leader, Kick A$$, taking 12 grand with a perfect 4-0 slate. Deppster matched the 4-0, picked up 9 grand and jumped 8 spots to 2nd. Dan Snyder's Dirty Socks did much better than his namesake with a perfect bet form and gaining 7 grand and 4 spots to 3rd. We had 20 perfect 4-0's... a number I don't remember ever matching.
T2tuff won $8,500, Mulligan had a true daily double taking $7,200, Lil Papi and sammygig both climbed 6 grand. Show Me the Money found some, winning $5,450. Stella's Squad was up 5 grand. 11 others ended up between 3 grand and $4,900 on the black.
Seems cruel in such a successful run to lose anyone but 2 more fell from competition... better luck next year Renegade Terry and Dog House. Mr. Goodbar was the only one to lose as much as 3 grand, giving back $5,200 to fall to the minimum $400.

Week 5: From Kicking Ass to... Apapthy?!?!
KickA$$ retook the lead, taking 6 grand in a week we picked at 58% and took $33,250 but also had 12 people who failed to enter bets. I don't remember a week having that many. Maybe the last couple weeks of bad betting has some gun shy. Last week's leader GMoney101 made 3 grand and dropped to 2nd. Retired INC rode the Panthers to a plus $9,500 weekly winner and 3rd place.
Balls Out jumped 30 spots after taking $7,200, Barbarians took 6 grand, Dan Snyders Dirty Socks won 5 grand, HitMe $4,900 and Smoker $4,500. On the whole, 40 bettors made money compared to 32 in the red. Dog House dropped the most, - $7,600 and 25 spots. At least he's still in it... we lost 2 more fellow bettors this week. R.I.P. Cool Cats and F-Dallas. Better luck next year! Shermanator fell $6,200; Rock Run Rumblers 6 grand and T2tuff fell $4,500.

Week 4: From Ziggy Stardust to the Spiders from Marsl!!
I’m sure not many will get the David Bowie reference but the point is… Ziggy’s dead. Almost tripling his money through 3 weeks he comfortably led the pool by 10 grand. Not content, he bet it all spread across the 4 bets. One oh for four week and he lost 28 grand and 77 spots to fall clear out of the pool. All About the Benjamins picked at 70% and only had 3 losses. Unfortunately, all his money’s been on those 3 and he along with All Pro joined Ziggy this week. Hope to see you next year!!
GMoney101 ended up even which counted as a win this week, climbing one spot to the pool lead. KickA$$ took 2 grand to move up one to 2nd and Honky Tonk 2-stepped into 3rd after winning $2,500. T2tuff won the week at plus $5,500. Karol gained $2,100, Deppsters 2 grand and Smoker $1,800.
All told only 12 people made money as we lost $126,650 after picking at just 41%. We lost 48 grand on the suddenly defenseless Steelers alone! Do Cool Shit didn’t, losing 8 grand. Cool Cats was close behind at minus $7,900 and Dog House dropped 6 grand… cats and dogs, I guess. Mr. Goodbar fell 5 grand and 6 others lost 4 grand.
4 weeks down, 18 to go and 75 bettors alive. We’re due for a big week… good luck in #5.
Week 3: Zig and Zag!!
In a comeback week for us where we picked at over 60% and just over 18 grand, Ziggy holds the top spot for the second straight week after gaining 5 grand. GMoney101 jumped 9 spots to 2nd with a perfect 4-0 slate allowing him to win the week at plus 6 grand. Week 1 leader KickA$$ fell 4 grand but just one spot to 3rd.
Despite betting super heavy on favorites again, we won big on PIT, BUF, KC and SEA. Shermanator and Stella’s Squad both went 4-0, won $5,300 and $5,000, and were the biggest movers at 54 and 45 spots up. Do Cool shit took 4 grand and Cool Cats clawed back into it at plus $3,900. In all, 9 bettors had perfect bet forms.
Games losing big involved betting on Cleveland, Tampa, and Vegas. We lost our 2nd and 3rd bettors this week… goodbye Spleen and Chap! Spleen fell the furthest, losing $4,800 and Chap went 0-4 to reach absolute zero. Rodzilla fell $4,500, T2tuff and Waco Kid dropped $3,500 and Lil Papi, Big Red1 and F-Dallas lost 3 grand. Despite going 3-1, T2tuff had the biggest fall losing 48 spots.

Week 2: The Right Side Hit Us Hard!!
This betting pool is pretty straight forward. For each game, one team is on the left side, then a number and a team on the right side. The choice is binary… left or right… a 50-50 chance. Every year our group leans heavily left. **Political joke alert** Much like groups in real life who lean too far left, all the money disappears! This week we picked favorites on over 80% of our bets. Of course this was a week 11 of the 16 games were underdog wins. The Steelers covering was the only thing that saved us. We picked at 38% and collectively lost just under 75 grand.
Our biggest fall came from poor Ginger Squad. He bet all of his 10 grand but at least spread it evenly. An 0 for 4 week and he’s out of the pool. Better luck next year! All About the Benjamins did it the old fashioned way. Sitting at 5-1 after a 3-1 week, he put 10 grand on the Fightin Maholmes’ leading to a $9,700 loss. Chap rode the Jags to a minus 9 grand week. C’mon Pam and Oh!For4 have had a rough start. Both sit at 0-7 and fell 4 grand in week 2. In all, 10 other bettors had an 0 for 4 bet sheet.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom. Ziggy won the week and moved up one spot to 1st after taking $7,500. Kick A$$ took a grand to fall just one spot to 2nd. Dog House came in strong, winning 6 grand to place 3rd.
Lil Papi had a clean sheet… 4-0 and plus 7 grand to jump 65 spots. Honky Tonkers rode the neon rainbow to $5,100 in the black. Arctic Wolves had the other perfect 4-0 slate.
Like I say all the time on here, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Plenty of time. Just 2 weeks down with 20 still to go… 78 bettors still alive. Good luck in week 3!!
Week 1: I Guess the First Week Kicked Ass!!
This week tied our record with three pushes... MIA-JAC, SEA-DEN and BUF-ARI all ended in no bet. Despite losing 3 games we still started strong with a crazy 61.8% pick percentage and winning $28,400. 16 people finished without a loss. Leading the way was Kick A$$, with one of two 4-0 slates and up 8 grand. Ziggy holds second after winning $5,500 and F-Dallas and Do Cool Shit tied for third at plus 4 grand. It's an expletive filled leader board!!
All Pro, GMoney101, Frenchie Lover, Red Lightning and Rodzilla all made $1,500 or more. In all, 42 bettors made money versus only 23 who lost. Charbog, Cool Cats and Oh!For4 fell the furthest, losing just 3 grand.
This next week is redemption week... the last week to get into the pool. If you know someone that forgot and isn't in, let them know.

2024-25 NFL Pool Season
Are you ready for some football?! The new NFL season starts September 5th (Thursday) and I'm rebooting the pool.
See the Rules page for more info but... $15.00 buys everyone a one time $10,000 pot. Each Wednesday the betting lines for all the Pro games will be posted on the Lines/ Bet Form page but for Week 1 the lines may be posted early. Each participant must bet 4 games, no more and no less. You must wager a minimum of $100 per game but you may wager as much money as you have. Once you fall below $400, you are out of the pool since you must play a minimum of $100 per game. Any game that’s a push or postponed will be a no bet, no money lost or won.
Try to enter your picks on the site each Friday by midnight... once all picks are made the Bets/ Results page will be updated. If you pick the early game on Thursday, all 4 picks must be made at the same time.
If we get enough in the pool there will be a weekly payout to the bettor who makes the most each week. The weekly amount will depend on how many we have in.

2023-2024 Final: NOT Always a Bridesmaid!!
Sneaky Leafs managed second place last season but broke thru this year… your 2023-24 Pool Champion. All Pro had a great year, leading the pool and winning a week three times. He bet modestly on SF, which saved him 2nd place. Mag$2Riche$ sat atop the pool the most with seven leads and won the most weeks at four. Also betting modestly, she held onto 3rd.
Long time bettor and 21-22 pool champ Finnybaby had another great year, falling just short of the top three after doubling up, winning $74,000. Red Lightning won $16,351 to finish 7th. D Beavers Year had a great first season but lost his 24 grand this week on SF.
Jammers has been a long time bettor and friend and finished 8th in his final season… he’ll be missed.
